Inventory Management for Stocky Users

If you're on Stocky, you need a plan

Brands currently running on Stocky need a plan. The question isn't whether to move, it's where. Merchants with multiple locations, wholesale channels, or any operational complexity beyond basic stock tracking need a real inventory management solution that extends beyond Shopify’s built-in functionality. That's where GoodDay comes in.

Why GoodDay is the right next step

Everything Stocky did, plus what it couldn't

Stocky covered the basics: POs, transfers, and some forecasting. GoodDay delivers all of that plus the capabilities Stocky never had: accounting integrations, split POs, location-level alerting, period-over-period reporting, and wholesale pricing. Moving to GoodDay isn't a lateral step, it's an upgrade.

Split POs across locations

GoodDay supports split purchase orders, letting operators write a single PO that ships to multiple receiving locations. Stocky didn't offer this. Brands with warehouses and retail stores no longer need to duplicate POs manually.

Automated inventory reconciliation

GoodDay creates operational speed and efficiency by automatically reconciling your inventory data between Shopify and your WMS. Comparing inventory across systems nightly, GoodDay provides operators with the ability to configure and automate inventory reconciliation, so you truly know what stock is where, and can investigate when counts get off track.

Unlimited users, no POS subscription required

GoodDay gives every team member access, ops, finance, fulfillment, leadership, without per-seat fees. Stocky required a POS Pro subscription just to unlock the app. GoodDay works for any Shopify brand, regardless of their POS plan.

A migration path that doesn't lose your data

Moving off Stocky means dealing with data portability. GoodDay's onboarding team handles migration directly importing your PO history, supplier data, inventory levels, and cost data so nothing falls through the cracks.

GoodDay has been a game-changer for us. We finally have an ERP that actually fits the way modern brands operate — simple, flexible, and built for Shopify. It’s rare to find a partner who really gets both the brand and the business side, this team nailed it.

Before GoodDay, everything lived in Shopify, and pulling reports felt clunky and unreliable. We didn’t really trust the numbers...GoodDay is flexible and agile, but what really stood out was the team. They made the complex parts of our business feel simple.

Now [third party promo events are] as simple as a few clicks where we can just say, ‘we want to set aside these X,000 units, for a sale that's upcoming.’ We'll quarantine them now and then once the sales are completed, we can release them back into the pool. So that has saved a ton of confusion. Manual processes, and quite frankly errors.

Frequently asked auestions about GoodDay vs Stocky

Is GoodDay a Stocky replacement?

Yes. GoodDay is a Shopify-native inventory management platform that replaces Stocky's core capabilities, purchase orders, transfers, stock takes, and reporting, and adds significant functionality Stocky never had, including accounting integrations, split POs, location-level alerts, virtual inventory segmentation, and automated FIFO COGS.

What happens when Stocky shuts down on August 31, 2026?

Stocky will stop working entirely. Several features, including transfers and min/max forecasting, have already been removed. Once the app shuts down, historical data like purchase orders and stock takes can be exported via reports, but supplier data cannot be exported. Uninstalling Stocky before the deadline may result in data loss.

Does GoodDay work with Shopify POS?

Yes. GoodDay has built Shopify POS extensions, starting with transfer order receipts that let store teams receive inventory directly from POS using Shopify's recommended hardware. Additional POS features, including full inventory counts, cycle counts, and PO receipts, are coming in 2026.

How long does it take to switch from Stocky to GoodDay?

Most brands are fully live on GoodDay within weeks. The onboarding team handles data migration, PO history, supplier data, inventory, and costs, so nothing is lost in the transition. GoodDay is offering 90 days free for brands migrating from Stocky.

How is GoodDay different from Shopify's built-in Admin inventory tools?

GoodDay is an ERP alternative for brands looking to optimize their operations beyond what is available natively in Shopify. GoodDay extends beyond Shopify inventory management features, which cover basic inventory tracking, transfers, and simple POs. For brands that are scaling across multiple channels, GoodDay supports the next level of complexity with accounting integrations, split purchase orders, automated FIFO COGS, virtual inventory segmentation, wholesale/B2B order management, 50+ WMS/3PL integrations, and dedicated onboarding with operator support via private Slack.
