As Still Here grew from a fast-growing Shopify brand into a true omnichannel business, inventory became harder to manage. Ecommerce, retail stores, and more than 120 wholesale accounts all drew from the same inventory pool, and spreadsheets and disconnected systems could no longer keep pace.
The operations team needed a single source of truth connecting purchasing, inventory, wholesale, fulfillment, and retail, without the complexity of a traditional ERP. Six weeks after kicking off with GoodDay, they had it.
Still Here has built a loyal following around premium women's denim, and growth brought operational complexity. The brand was expanding retail beyond New York while ecommerce and wholesale grew in parallel. Every channel depended on the same inventory, but no single system coordinated how it was purchased, allocated, and fulfilled.
Inventory planning lived in spreadsheets. Orders flowed through Shopify. Wholesale and retail each ran on their own allocations, and the brand's 3PL wasn't operating a warehouse management system. Answering a simple question like when an order shipped meant searching email threads.
"We were just finding that we had no control, we had no source of truth. We were at the point where we had too many channels and too many avenues of business to not have tight control over inventory allocation
Mara Galeb-Roskopp, Operations Lead
Mara had implemented and operated a traditional ERP at a previous company, and knew firsthand how expensive, difficult, and resource-intensive those systems become. Still Here wasn't looking to repeat that experience. It needed an operational backbone built for how modern Shopify brands actually run.
GoodDay is built natively in Shopify. That removed the largest hurdle of a traditional ERP project, connecting the two systems, and gave the team complete visibility from purchase order through customer shipment.
"So much of what an ERP does can be simplified down to creating a good operational backbone for the company. And that's what GoodDay did. Plus, that it is really is user friendly is huge selling point for GoodDay."
"Shopify is a great platform, obviously, but the inventory backend is not meant to be a source of truth. Having the visibility from PO submission to sales order and to shipping out, it's a through line."
Mara Galeb-Roskopp, Operations Lead
From kickoff to launch, implementation took about six weeks. The biggest lift wasn't the software. It was cleaning up SKU structures and establishing cost tracking the business had never formally maintained, with GoodDay's implementation team working alongside Still Here on a clear project plan.
"From when we kicked off onboarding to when we launched was within six weeks... It happened much quicker than I anticipated."
The timing paid off immediately. Going live ahead of its biggest Fall/Winter season, Still Here shipped more orders than ever before, on a tighter timeline.
With purchase orders, sales orders, and fulfillment connected in one workflow, manual work dropped across nearly every operational process. For a lean team, those hours mattered.
"Reduction in hours for sure, across the board, in all things. Which is exciting because we're a small but mighty team. This has allowed us to grow without really feeling it so much on the operations side."
The same visibility sharpened decisions. With inventory, purchasing, and sell-through data in one place, the team makes faster calls on replenishment and where to focus marketing and retail efforts.
"It's not only reduction in man hours, it's also optimization of the business and our inventory. We're able to see very clearly what we need to place orders on or focus our marketing efforts or focus our retail efforts on."
What began as an operations platform is now expanding into production, product, and retail teams, with GoodDay POS next, letting stores manage transfers and inventory directly from the sales floor. And the roadmap keeps landing where the team needs it.
"You guys are reading my mind and reading our team's mind. We think of these issues we want to solve for, and you guys are already working on the back end."
Mara's advice is simple: don't wait until operational challenges become business problems. Put the systems in place before growth makes them urgent.
"If it's not broke, don't fix it. But there comes a point where you feel that it's not going to be manageable maybe six months down the line, and at that point is the perfect time to onboard. If it's inventory and production orders and sales orders and all of the management in one place, I would say absolutely."
"It's crazy to think that we were existing in a world in which we didn't have a source of truth, like GoodDay. We needed a solution in the immediate six months and we got it. It was beyond helpful."
Mara Galeb-Roskopp, Operations Lead
