I remember thinking in the early days of Chubbies: “We have a tremendous amount of valuable customer data as an ecommerce brand, but it feels impossible to turn it into real leverage and growth”. The merchandising team pulls an export from one system, somebody from the supply chain team pulls a different report from a different system, and then the team spends days figuring out which numbers are right, filling in the gaps, and getting everything into a format that is actually useful to make decisions. By the time the decision is on the table, the question may have already moved.

Almost none of that work is analysis. It is preparation, and it is the part of the job nobody wants to spend their time doing.

Over the past few months, we’ve shipped a lot of updates aimed at helping our brands get practical value from the data already existing in their brand. We’ve significantly improved embedded reporting inside GoodDay, added segmented P&L to the Revenue Ledger, expanded what operators can do through GoodDay MCP and Claude, and added native support for Amazon FBA and TikTok Shop. Underneath all of it, we rebuilt the entire data foundation that makes GoodDay data incredibly simple to access, analyze, and act on.

The idea is pretty simple: GoodDay does the hard work of structuring operational data so your team can focus on making strategic decisions. We normalize the accounting behind revenue, COGS, and inventory, reconcile that data across channels, and keep it structured and current. From there, you can use it however the job calls for it: inside GoodDay, in Google Sheets, in your own BI tool, or in your favorite AI application through GoodDay MCP.

For an operator, that means less time getting data ready and more time using it to make a call.

Better reporting with GoodDay

We’ve significantly improved the standardized reporting inside GoodDay, including the recent release of our Revenue Ledger, broader inventory accounting, and advanced purchase order capabilities. Tagging is built in so teams can see what matters to them without creating an endless stream of custom reporting.

The Revenue Ledger has expanded significantly and now covers Shopify, Amazon FBA, TikTok Shop, and wholesale, with COGS broken out by component so vendor cost, freight, duties, tariffs, and adjustments can each land on their own line items. Returns, exchanges, refunds, order edits, and gift cards are all accounted for too. This is simple, but powerful tooling.

That comprehensiveness matters because retail questions have a habit of crossing systems. Revenue without returns isn’t the revenue you were asking about. Product cost without accurate freight, duties, or tariffs isn’t the whole answer. Marketplace sales sitting somewhere separate from the rest of the business aren’t particularly helpful. Bringing those pieces together is what makes the data useful for making the hardest decisions.

New: Segmented P&L in the Revenue Ledger

One of the biggest additions is segmented P&L inside the Revenue Ledger.

Most systems naturally organize financial reporting around the channel an order came through. But, that isn’t necessarily how brand operators should think about the business. You may want to understand the economics of a campaign, collection, business unit, or another segment that doesn’t map neatly to Shopify, wholesale, Amazon, or another sales channel.

GoodDay now lets you attribute revenue and COGS to whatever segments make sense for your business, regardless of which channel the order originated from. If you run a campaign microsite for Good Morning America, for example, those orders can be mapped out of your ecommerce segment and into their own automatically instead of being pulled apart manually in a CSV with a VLOOKUP. With the ability to recategorize, for example, If you’re placing marketing sample or influencer orders in Shopify, you can move those orders out of COGS and into marketing for your GL summary posting entry.

If legacy ERPs can automate this at all, it often takes custom work. In GoodDay, it’s a rule you configure.

Your data, however you want to use it

We consider it our job to get your data as close as possible to where the decisions are actually being made. That sounds obvious, but it’s pretty different from how legacy ERP has traditionally worked. Your data lives in the system, and getting it out, structuring it, and moving it into the tools where your team actually works often becomes your problem.

We want GoodDay to work the other way around. Some operators may choose to use GoodDay as a headless ERP via Claude. Others will leverage embedded reporting, sync GoodDay data to their BI systems, or use our connection to Google Sheets. The point is that your data should be accessible however and wherever your team needs to use it.

Different functions across a brand need the same foundational data, but they need it presented in very different ways. Your fulfillment manager may want a Google Sheet that is always current and scoped to exactly what they need each day. A functional leader may want a dashboard built in the company’s existing BI platform. An ops or planning team may want to use GoodDay MCP with Claude to bring purchasing, inventory, receipts, transfers, and sales into the same analysis. And plenty of questions are best answered directly inside GoodDay’s native interface.

All of those access patterns start from the same structured operational data. We don’t think you should have to choose between having a reliable system of record and having the flexibility to work with your data where it is most useful.

The infrastructure behind that matters more than it may sound. Standing up this kind of access has traditionally meant having an engineering or data team at your brand build pipelines, maintain them, and keep everything aligned as systems and channels change. We’ve invested in making that our problem instead. Your team should be able to use its operational data without first building the plumbing required to reach it.

Expanded: GoodDay MCP + Claude

GoodDay MCP has also grown well past asking basic questions about inventory status. Inventory, transfers, receipts, sales orders, and purchase orders are all available through MCP, backed by the GoodDay API with scoped permissions you control.

That gives operators the ability to ask questions that naturally cross different parts of the business. An ops or planning team can net demand against on-hand inventory across locations, bring purchasing and sales into the same analysis, and work from one connected set of data instead of assembling the inputs manually first.

To me, the write capabilities are where this gets especially interesting. Asking a good question is useful, but acting on the answer instantly in the same place you asked it turns the experience from a lookup into an end-to-end automated workflow.

We continue to find new ways to fully automate annoying, repetitive tasks. For example, we added an incredible new capability where you can drop in a packing list pdf or sheet into Claude and GoodDay will auto-split out units onto new PO blocks and add them to a shipment.

GoodDay itself is becoming more contextually aware too. Inventory reconciliation can surface the adjustments it thinks you should make. Raw material purchase order proposals can net demand against on-hand inventory and put a draft PO in front of you. Across the board, the operator spends less time assembling the analysis and more time reviewing the recommendation and deciding what happens next.

New: TikTok Shop and Amazon FBA support

We’ve also significantly expanded GoodDay’s marketplace support.

TikTok Shop now connects to GoodDay for orders, shipments, returns, and inventory. You can create Fulfilled by TikTok inbound plans, including item mapping, carton packing, and shipment setup, without leaving GoodDay.

Amazon FBA is now fully integrated, including the Revenue Ledger. Merchant-defined SKU mapping keeps your SKUs and Amazon’s aligned, while pallet and carton label downloads support larger shipments.

What matters to us is that these don’t become two more operational islands. Both connect into the same inventory foundation that runs your Shopify store and report into the same Revenue Ledger. Adding another sales channel shouldn’t mean adding another set of numbers to reconcile, another disconnected inventory workflow, or another place where your COGS go missing.

That gets more important as your brand grows. More channels should create more opportunity, not more operational complexity. More integrations to come.

And that’s not all we shipped this summer

We are shipping across the rest of GoodDay as well and refining our Returns capabilities were the focus this last quarter. .

Native Loop integration. GoodDay and Loop integrate out-of-the-box. We added a guided setup flow, automated lot allocation on restocks, per-item return reasons, and support for returns on orders placed before you onboarded to GoodDay. From capturing returns in-transit inventory state in our ledger, all the way down to your WMS, ShipHero, Deposco, and more; we track the full returning inventory lifecycle.

Wholesale returns. GoodDay’s own Integrated wholesale returns now provide a more complete picture of the B2B business inside GoodDay. For the first time, you have a complete view of your cross channel returns. integrated with your WMS, plus credit memos sync-ing to QuickBooks. GoodDay is able to handle bulk end-of-season style returns not tied to a specific sales order too.

What’s next

The pace of innovation is astounding, and one area we’re particularly excited about is AI-powered inventory planning.

Demand forecasting is a natural extension of the same data foundation brands are already using across the business. Our team has been working closely with a number of brands to build custom AI inventory planning solutions, and I can’t wait to share more about where that is going in the coming months.

For decades, ERP systems have been good at storing operational data and much less effective at helping operators actually make better inventory decisions. When the underlying data is structured, reliable, and accessible, the hard questions become much much easier. Reporting gets easier, teams can work from the same information wherever they prefer to work, and increasingly the analysis itself can arrive with a recommendation for what decision to make next.

That means less time assembling the answer and more time making the call. For operators, that’s a pretty exciting shift, and we’re moving fast.

Today is yet another GoodDay. Enjoy it.
